Lái Thiêu fruit garden (Thuan An town, Binh Duong) is a famous place of the whole Southeast region for hundreds of years, creating a unique brand for garden tourism and therefore contributing to the rising income of people here. However, in the past few years, the volume of visitors arriving in the garden has gradually gone down. The garden is located approximately 20 km away from Ho Chi Minh city, around 10km south from Thu Dau Mot city. This garden gathers only specialties of Binh Duong such as mangosteen, jackfruit, custard-apple, strawberry, rambutan. In the rainy season, from May to August, the fruit trees bear ripe fruits in Lái Thiêu. Visitors can arrive at this garden at the weekends to relax and enjoy the fresh air in a natural world.
Visitors can go for a walk under canopies full of laden fruit, take a rest in the garden or enjoy the sweet taste of fruits. Here visitors are allowed to freely pick the fruit and then fulfill the payment later based on the number of peduncles. Visitors who are interested in the river landscape can also visit the Ngang bridge and take a trip along with the garden or on the Saigon River by boat to watch the view of green gardens reflecting on the silent water, surface. You can travel here either by a tour package or backpacking yourself.
The fruit garden covers 1,200 hectares stretching over 6 wards along the Saigon River side including Vinh Phu, Lái Thiêu, Binh Nham, Hung Dinh, An Thanh and An Son. This over-200-year-old fruit growing area is considered as the best one in the Southeast, especially durian, jackfruit, bonbon. But the most outstanding and well-known here is Lái Thiêu mangosteen.

Looking at the green garden reflecting on the river surface while enjoying fresh fruit is really worth experiencing, at least once in life.
