INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE 2024

International Day of Peace was initiated by the United Nations in 1981 and was first celebrated in September 1982. Until 2002, the United Nations General Assembly officially declared on 21st Septembeevery year to celebrate the International Day of Peace.

The United Nations wishes to use this day to call on warring parties around the world to abandon their weapons and also to encourage all humanity to act together to realize the goal of world peace.

Vietnam became a member of the United Nations on 20 September, 1977 and has participated in many activities, contributed effectively and responsibly in maintaining world peace and security.
